Our Mission & Heartbeat
At Be Found, we know that true healing happens in safe, honest, and even playful relationships — not in isolation. Our heartbeat is relationship: the trust built through compassionate counseling, the moments of joy and rest created in our spaces, and the ripple effect that extends into families, workplaces, and communities.
We exist to care for those who care for others — the community servants, educators, counselors, and nonprofit workers who often carry the stories of others without enough room for their own. Through sliding-scale counseling, intensives, and retreats, we make restoration possible for those who give so much of themselves in service.
Our hope is simple: that everyone who walks through our doors would experience what it means to be seen, supported, and found again.
A Network of Holistic Support for Helpers
We envision a future where counselors, social workers, first responders, educators, nonprofit workers, and other frontline professionals have ongoing access to the mental health care, emotional support, and community resources they need—not just in times of crisis, but as a consistent part of their well-being.
Local Peer Support Networks – A community of support groups where helpers can process their experiences, connect with others in similar roles, and reduce isolation and burnout.
Accessible, High-Quality Counseling Services – Trauma-informed therapy and wellness coaching specifically designed for helpers, ensuring they receive the same level of care they offer to others.
Ongoing Personal & Professional Development – Regular workshops, retreats, and continuing education opportunities that prioritize self-care, burnout prevention, and emotional resilience.
A Sustainable Model for Mental Health Professionals
The current structure of mental health and nonprofit work often leads to burnout, with helpers giving beyond their capacity and feeling pressure to work for reduced rates or take on excessive caseloads. We aim to change the culture of overextension by creating an ethical, sustainable model for providers.
Fair and Sustainable Compensation – Counselors working within Be Found Counseling will be paid fairly and sustainably, ensuring they do not have to take on excessive caseloads or undercharge for their work just to make ends meet. By valuing their time, expertise, and well-being, we allow them to focus on providing high-quality care without the risk of burnout, compassion fatigue, or financial strain. This model prioritizes both the providers and those receiving care, creating a healthy, sustainable, and ethical approach to mental health services.
Work-Life Balance for Helpers – Encouraging healthier boundaries, smaller caseloads, and emotional sustainability to prevent compassion fatigue.
Mentorship & Support for Emerging Helpers – Partnering with universities and training programs to support new therapists and wellness professionals, offering guidance, supervision, and financial assistance.
A Local Retreat Center & Wellness Space
We envision a local retreat center and wellness space where helpers can step away from their daily demands to recharge, process, and heal in a peaceful and restorative environment. This space will be designed specifically to support frontline workers, counselors, educators, and caregivers, providing them with a place for renewal and reflection. Offerings will include:
Therapeutic intensives - To support deep healing and renewal
Mind-body healing experiences - Such as yoga, meditation, and somatic therapy
Workshops on emotional resilience, nervous system regulation, and self-care
Expansive outdoor spaces - For reflection, connection, and restoration, allowing individuals to reconnect with themselves, build supportive relationships, and benefit from the healing power of nature and community
By creating an environment that prioritizes healing, personal growth, and emotional sustainability, we aim to ensure that helpers receive the same level of care and restoration that they so often provide to others.
A Legacy of Healthier, More Resilient Communities
Ultimately, by investing in the well-being of helpers, we are investing in the health of entire communities. A supported, emotionally healthy workforce leads to:
Stronger, more effective mental health care
Reduced turnover and burnout in nonprofit and public service roles
Generational impact—breaking cycles of unprocessed trauma
A more compassionate, connected society where those who care for others are also cared for
Our vision is not just to help individual professionals survive their careers—it is to create a sustainable, thriving system where those who serve can continue their work from a place of healing, strength, and longevity.
